FarmPower at Agriculture Day
During the annual Day of Agriculture, agricultural and horticultural businesses throughout Flanders open their doors to the general public. It is a great opportunity to get to know the people, the craftsmanship, and the innovations behind our agricultural sector.
FarmPower was present this year at De Melhoeve, owned by Raf Lauryssen and Naomi Janssens in Rijkevorsel. FarmPower ambassador Nicolas Soenen was there on behalf of our cooperative, and board member Berend Beekhuis was also present.
We thank Raf and Naomi for making the location available and everyone who stopped by for their interest and the pleasant conversations.
FarmPower at Agridagen 2026 – Stronger together
From February 20 to 22, 2026, FarmPower was present at Agridagen at Weelde Depot in Ravels.
For three days, we had the pleasure of welcoming many farmers to our stand. We held insightful discussions about battery control, collaboration, and the future of energy on the farm.
The great interest and the new members we were able to welcome during Agridagen confirm once again that the need for cooperation between farmers continues to grow.
With 234 exhibitors and more than 24,000 visitors, Agridagen 2026 was a record edition.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and shared ideas with us. Thanks also to our members and board members for their continued commitment and trust.

FarmPower and Boerenbond join forces around European CIRCUS project
FarmPower and Boerenbond came together at Catharinadal in Achel as part of the European CIRCUS project .
This project supports local initiatives that wish to organize energy jointly, cooperatively, or within an energy community.
The CIRCUS card game was used during the meeting. This practical tool helps to discuss themes such as collaboration, roles, decision-making, and strategic choices in an accessible way. This led to an interesting exchange regarding the opportunities and challenges of energy cooperatives and energy communities.
Catharinadal, with its strong ties to agriculture and local craftsmanship, provided a fitting location for this. Naturally, the famous award-winning cheeses from Catharinadal could not be missing either.

Boerenbond Webinar with FarmPower and PowerPulse
At the invitation of the Boerenbond , this webinar took place focusing on the use of batteries on agricultural and horticultural farms. In the webinar, both PowerPulse , an independent energy consultancy, and FarmPower share their vision and experience.
PowerPulse explains how batteries can be deployed for energy storage, peak smoothing, and grid support services. From this independent role, it also discusses how FarmPower controls batteries within flexibility markets such as FCR.
FarmPower builds on these insights and shows how collective governance and collaboration can concretely help farmers make their energy systems smarter and more profitable. The combination of independent advice and practical experience makes this webinar relevant and informative for members and interested farmers, even today.
FarmPower Meeting 2025 – A successful day together
The FarmPower Meeting 2025 was a successful day with a good turnout, interesting conversations, and plenty of opportunity for knowledge sharing. Thank you to all members and interested parties who attended.
A special word of thanks to our speakers: Bruno De Grande from FarmPower , Gert Haubrechts from Enwyse, Frank Van Dijk from Posetron , and Jan Peter Moree from Centrica. They shared their knowledge about FarmPower, energy contracts, technology, energy markets, and smart control.
We also thank FarmFun in Beveren for the beautiful location, catering, and good support.

FarmPower and Boerenbond collaborate within CIRCUS
Within the European CIRCUS project, FarmPower and Boerenbond are collaborating to strengthen the local energy position for farmers and rural communities.
Boerenbond contributes its network and knowledge of the agricultural sector, while FarmPower offers practical experience with cooperative energy and joint market mechanisms. In this way, we are exploring together how farmers can play a more active role in their own energy supply.

New battery installation – a step forward!
Today is another fine example of how agricultural businesses continue to invest in the future.
Stef and Paul Goossens from Lier had a new battery installed via Lexem BV to store energy more smartly and use it more efficiently.
With this step, not only does the company become more sustainable and independent, but together we also contribute to a stronger and more stable energy system.
It is great to see how innovation and agriculture go hand in hand!
Farmpower at the trade fair!
In January 2025, FarmPower participated in Agriflanders 2025 at Flanders Expo Ghent (16-19 January). This fair is the annual meeting place for the Belgian agricultural sector, with more than 377 exhibitors and thousands of visitors.
At our stand, we provided insight into the possibilities for joint energy investments, technological applications, and strengthening the agricultural community.
FarmPower is the energy cooperative of and for farmers.
Together, we combine our energy, knowledge, and strength for better conditions and greater independence.
